AI Guided Business Building: Why I Built a New Category
AI guided business building usually conjures up images of generic templates and copy-paste prompts. I keep getting asked what category the CoCreation Engine actually fits into, and honestly, I don’t think it fits into one that already exists.
Not a course. Not a coaching program.
It’s not a course, because a course teaches you information and leaves you to apply it alone. It’s not a coaching program, because coaching supports you through decisions you’re already making, rather than building the thing itself. And it’s not a template pack dressed up as a system, because templates force your business into someone else’s mold instead of building around who you actually are.
What intelligent business co-creation actually means
What I’ve built is a guided process where you answer honest questions about who you are, why you’re passionate about helping people, and what you want to build. From those answers, an entire business gets built around your actual voice and values, not a formula designed for someone else’s audience. That’s the difference between AI guided business building done generically, and AI guided business building done around one specific person, in their own words.
The over-explainer problem
Ask me to explain my own business in two or three sentences and watch what happens. I am, historically, the world’s biggest over-explainer. My vision is big, and narrowing it down has never come naturally to me. I used to think that meant I needed to hire someone to fix my messaging. What I actually needed was something that could hear the scattered, unpolished version of what I mean and hand it back to me clean, without losing the heart of it. If you’ve ever felt like what you meant to say and what actually came out were two different things, this is exactly the problem AI guided business building is supposed to solve, when it’s done right.
Content as a byproduct, not extra work
Most coaches and solopreneurs struggle to post consistently, not because they lack ideas, but because they don’t know how to say what they mean in a way that sounds like them. Here’s what nobody talks about enough. If you build your business by simply answering honest questions about who you are and why you do this work, you walk away with hundreds of pieces of content, in your own actual voice, without ever sitting down to “come up with something to post.” That’s resonant marketing. Not manufactured. Not generic. Just true.
The part that actually scares me
Here’s something I don’t say often enough out loud. Part of me is scared that when I tell people this whole business foundation can genuinely be built in 40 hours, they’ll assume it’s hype. I get it. If I’d heard this pitch five years ago, I probably would have rolled my eyes too. But I’d rather be honest about how fast and complete this actually is, and let some people stay skeptical, than water it down to sound more believable and undersell what it actually does.
Why this needed its own name
I’m not trying to build a better version of an AI tool that already exists. I’m trying to build something that needed its own category, because the existing labels, course, coaching program, software tool, all describe something narrower than what’s actually happening here. I don’t say that to sound impressive. I say it because I think a lot of purpose-driven entrepreneurs are building things that don’t fit neatly into existing categories either, and I think that’s worth naming honestly instead of forcing it into language that undersells it.
